Ramona Country Fair, Outdoor Adventure Expo

This weekend we had a great time at the Ramona Country and Jr Fair up in beautiful Ramona California the geographic center of San Diego County. It was some long hot and a little humid days but the nights where awesome. The country fair is put on by the Chamber of commerce and it helps promote the community and to raise money for it as well. This year was the first year in like ten years the both the country fair and Jr fair where held together. The Jr fair is more of your traditional livestock fair with organizations like the FFA and 4H. These kids work really hard on their animals and the Jr Fair is a great way to show them off and auction them.

One of the great things about the fair other than the rides food and live entertainment is its free and it was only ten dollars to park or fifteen for all weekend so it was a great family event with something for everyone. Especially this year with the addition of the outdoor adventure expo celebrating the fact Ramona is San Diego’s Gateway to Adventure whether you are headed to the mountains of the desert most people down here find themselves traveling through our great little town. For the first year we were off to a great start with our own little section of the fair.

The San Diego Mountain Bike Association brought out their kids track with loner bikes and helmets for an awesome free introduction to mountain biking and a great way for the kids to ride off their cotton candy before going home.

Across the way was Battle Axe San Diego with their mobile trailer and that was pretty awesome to watch and it kept people busy all day.

Next to us we had the Girl Scouts doing a recruiting drive and they were great neighbors!

We also had a really cool little stand form Poway Bicycle for people to check out.

There was the South Bay Rod and Gun Club Sharing with us about their range and programs.

We also had a bunch of cool off road and recreational vehicle displays from So Cal Gun Broker and All About Fun RV. I think the vehicle favorite though was our buddy Denny from Water Wise Well Service, his custom VW Thing is tricked out and a super cool desert cruiser and if that wasn’t enough he had his Smitty built roof top tent on it as well for one awesome outdoor adventure rig.

We just had a blast all weekend and loved sharing with our neighbors that we opened the store on 780 Main St Suite D Ramona CA open Thursday through Sunday. See we just love talking about the store ha-ha. But in all seriousness it was great seeing everyone and we really look forward to seeing more of you so drop by and say hi hopefully we can help you Get The Fox Out There!
