Eagle Rock is a rock formation created that lays the direction atop the Pacific Crest Trail. It will never be fully known if the stories are true that the rock formation was created over years of wind but it is amazing the resemblance to a eagle.

The trailhead for this hike is located on State Route 79 next to the Cal Fire Warner Springs Fire Station just south of the Warner Springs Community Resource Center. This hike is an easy to moderate 6.5-mile out and back with an elevation gain/loss of about 965 feet.

Parking is located on the side of the main road but please DO NOT block the fire station. Look for a gate adjacent to the south driveway of the station and remember to always close any gates you pass through. You will see signs that mark the entrance to this portion of the 2,650-mile Pacific Crest Trail that extends from Mexico to Canada.
